Zea Friesen R.Ac. has earned diplomas in acupuncture and herbal medicine from the Academy of Classical Oriental Sciences in 2007.
She came to the practice of Eastern medicine after an experience of working in the allopathic medical systems and seeing the limitations in how it could help certain patients. Health struggles of her own led her to search for alternative means of treatment and she is continuously fascinated with processes we can activate to create the conditions to heal.
Zea practices meridian based acupuncture which is renowned for its immediate, powerful effects and especially for pain relief. She has a special interest in women’s health, conception, pregnancy health, pre and post-birth treatment, insomnia, sports injuries and chronic pain.
She is the proud mum of two grown children and she enjoys many forms of movement, music, art, film and being by clear water.
